Adrian is tall as he stands at 6'2". His parents are both very tall, so they already figured that their son would end up being really tall too. Adrian also had a sudden growth spurt when he was a kid before most other guys his age had growth spurts. They usually would call him a giant due to his being so much taller than all of them. He easily ignored them though. He also has light brunet hair that can sometimes look blond in certain light. Most of the time he'll just leave his hair looking somewhat messy and never tries to do much with it.
Adrian tends wear dark colored clothes. He rarely is ever seen in clothes are white or light colored. He tends to wear a black shirt with dark jeans. He rarely ever wears shorts unless the weather outside is extremely hot. He also doesn't really dress up for events. He's only tried to look really nice for his wedding and for Juliette's prom. Even so, he believes that none of his outfits are actually complete unless he has a cigarette in his hand.
Adrian is a very quiet guy who tends to keep to himself. He rarely ever speaks out to people, and when he does, he usually instantly regrets everything. He prefers to hideaway from the attention of people, so he usually keeps quiet and has his head down. He also learned how to stay so quiet due to childhood. He grew up with two parents that were usually quite drunk all of the time, so he learned to always stay quiet when they were drunk or hungover in the morning. He also absolutely hates alcohol and has only had a few drinks in his life. He didn't exactly hate the taste of alcohol, but rather what he knew it could do to people - especially him because of alcoholism running in his family.
Adrian is also very pessimistic about really anything. He rarely ever sees the good in most things, and only sees the downside of everything. He sometimes hates how he's always such a downer, but then he stops caring. He's often very cynical about the world, believing nothing good can happen. He's mostly this way because of how throughout his childhood nothing seemed to go right in his world. It only seemed to get worse and worse. Even when he moved to live with his uncle, he didn't really see it as a good thing because it only meant that his parents were truly so irresponsible that they couldn't take care of their own son. He can also be very grouchy and grumpy at times, but does definitely have a soft spot for certain people in his life.
Adrian never tried to be different from people his age. He tried in his early teenage years to blend in with them, but had trouble making friends. By his sophomore year of high school, he completely gave up on trying to fit in and decided to just let himself by the outcast. He no longer really cared about much of anything in his life. This was about the time when he truly started to keep to himself. He rarely lets people into his life and be able to know him. When he does let people in his life, it's only because they have proved to him that he can trust them and they won't disappear from his life. He's not necessarily possessive over people close to him, but rather wants to often be with them.
Somewhat surprisingly, Adrian is a somewhat family guy. He never really had one when he was growing up, but always wished he could have one. His sister Vanessa was really his only family as a child. They had always been very close to each other and she tended to take care of him because she was five years older than him. However, once she left him alone with their parents, he once again felt as if everything in life was disappointing. Still, part of him wanted to have a family of his own. He usually tells Juliette that he doesn't want kids till he's fifty, but that's just a big lie. He wants kids sometime soon in the future, but definitely not for a few more years. He also wants to be able to let his kids have the happy family he never had.
Marius and Danielle Capaldi had first met in a bar they both regularly went to. They grew used to seeing each other all the time and talking every now and then, so they one day decided to actually hang out elsewhere and get to know each other better. Marius may have been nearly twenty years older than Danielle, but that large age gap didn't stop them from seeing each other. After only four months of officially dating, they accidentally found out Danielle was pregnant. They decided to keep the child and had a daughter they named Vanessa. They married soon after Vanessa's birth. Five years after Vanessa was born, they found out Danielle was once again pregnant. In June of 1995, Adrian Marius Capaldi was born to Marius and Danielle Capaldi. It had been a surprise when they found out Danielle was even pregnant a second time. They hadn't been planning on having anymore children after their first child, Vanessa. Still, they decided it was best to go ahead and keep their child.
The first couple of years of Adrian's life were okay. His father was usually pretty sober and able to take care of his two children while his mother was usually the complete opposite of that. His father soon changed though once he was laid off from his job at a factory on the outskirts of Barfield. His dad began drinking to mask the pain of losing his job. He was able to find another little job elsewhere in Barfield that didn't pay nearly as well. Still, it was a job that paid. However, the family had to move from their small three bedroom house to a small two bedroom apartment. They also ended up selling a lot of their belongings in order to afford the new place. Adrian and his sister Vanessa had to share the second the room, which always annoyed Vanessa who wanted to have her own room away from her brother. The five year old Adrian didn't really care about sharing a room.
When Adrian was seven, his father was fired from his job. His father began to no longer see any point in trying to find a new job, but did finally find one at a grocery store. Once again, the family ended up moving around more. Throughout that one year, Adrian ended up living in three different apartments with each one becoming worse than the last one. His parents began to constantly fight about how Adrian's mother needed to get a job in order to help pay the bills and buy groceries, but she always said she wasn't able to work. She claimed that she wanted to be a home mom and take care of her children. For some reason Marius believed her and let her continue not taking care of their children.
When Adrian was ten, he failed the fifth grade. His mom was very angry and mad at him for failing school and told him that he needed to not be stupid and actually try to do well. Danielle didn't even stop to think that perhaps part of the reason Adrian had to repeat the fifth grade was due to his home life. The constant moving and sometimes nights without a dinner would be hard on any kid. The drunkenness of both his parents was also tough. His sister had often tried to help him with his homework, but she had her own even harder homework to deal with. Also, neither of his parents knew that Adrian had dyslexia. He had had trouble in school for years due to not being able to read that well, but no one really paid much attention to it. It wasn't actually until he was thirteen that a teacher asked if he had dyslexia and he was soon diagnosed with it.
Repeating a grade was never fun for Adrian. The possibly two friends he had he no longer saw due to no longer being in any classes together. He also had trouble finding friends in his new classes because they all mostly ignored him. He decided to keep to himself. Luckily, he was able to just barely pass fifth grade the second time and move on to the next year of school. There were a couple of times before he was diagnosed with dyslexia that he almost had to repeat another grade, but he was able to avoid that by barely passing his classes.
At around the same time Adrian was diagnosed, his family moved into a one bedroom apartment in a rundown part of town. They were no longer able to afford the two bedroom one. Vanessa, who was eighteen at the time, decided to move out. She could no longer handle being around her careless parents and wanted to be on her own. She had saved up enough money to get her own place with a close friend. She was going to bring Adrian along with her, but their parents wouldn't allow it and she also kind of wanted to keep away from her screwed up family. Adrian was left on his own with his drunk parents in a tiny one bedroom apartment. His bedroom ended up being a small section of the living room that was hidden behind a curtain with a small cot bed for him to sleep on.
When Adrian was sixteen, he began working at Regal Cinema in order to have money to take care of himself. His father had been recently fired from his job at the gas station and his mother was still unemployed. They were both getting worse and worse by the minute, and Adrian was becoming more of a cynical, angry teenager. He had started smoking when he was sixteen due to all of the stress from his parents and school. It was something he found that relaxed him even though he knew it was bad for him, but he figured that it didn't matter since his life already sucked. Things only started to look better when he was seventeen because his uncle Mason Reed decided to step into his family's life. He took his sister and her family into his large home. He sent his sister to rehab, and his brother-in-law soon after her. He decided to take care of Adrian too by allowing him to live with him in the house. Adrian was able to have his own bedroom for the first time since he was a toddler. His new bedroom was also probably the size of his family's last apartment. It was great being able to live somewhere nice, but Adrian still began to immediately make plans to move out and get his own place.
His senior year of high school, Adrian started to get to know this girl named Reece Carlisle. He'd be lying if he said he never had a crush on her, but she did make him feel better about himself. She was really sweet and adorable, and he started to really like her. However, it was also weird since she was friends with the really popular girls in school and he was mostly always around the drug addicts - even if he actually wasn't one. They were really the only people who would ever talk to him. Nothing ever happened between the two though since Reece soon had to move away, leaving Adrian a bit heartbroken. The heartache didn't last long though when Adrian met Juliette Wicks. She invited him to go make out with her - which he obviously did because why wouldn't he? - and at first he was only using her to try to get over Reece. However he ended up actually really starting to like her after seeing her all the time and really getting to know her.
Adrian and Juliette never technically had an official day when they decided they were dating. Mostly they just say that they started dating when they first met. Shortly after, Juliette drunkenly decided to break up with Adrian, but also told him that she loved him. Adrian didn't really know how to respond to that because he never really had anyone say that they loved him and he never really told anyone that he loved them. Adrian and Juliette soon got back together though because they both missed each other and loved each other, although it took forever after they got back together for Adrian to say it. They also went back to being really gross and fluffy too.
On September 21, 2014, Adrian was finally able to move out of his uncle's house and into his own apartment. He had finally saved up enough for it and a couple month's extra rent. He also bought nice new furniture for his apartment so that it looked and felt comfortable. He wanted to have something nice in his life, and he was finally able to decorate his apartment and make it look like he wanted. Around the new year, Juliette asked if she could move in with Adrian and he gladly told her that she could. She had already been practically living with him anyway, but he was happy to actually have her officially living in his apartment with him.
During late January 2015, Adrian was hired for a new job at the Electric Company. He was hired as a line worker, but had to do training under an older line worker. Currently he's being paid less than most line workers because for the next few years he'll be under training, but he'll slowly get a raise each year until he's able to get paid fully a line worker job. Although it's not exactly a dream job, Adrian is always very excited about his job because he's able to get paid far more than his old job at the cinema. He's also happy to be able to be working and doing something that feels like an actual adult job. He knows he's definitely going to be sticking around with the job unless he finds a better one elsewhere that uses the skills he gains from his apprenticeship.
On July 5, 2015, Adrian and Juliette got married. They didn't really tell anyone about their plans to get married or anything and kept it mostly secret. Adrian also never really told his family because he didn't really care to. He told his sister around late August when she called him. He's happy and beyond ecstatic to be married to Juliette, but he just for some reason doesn't really want to let his parents know he's married. He hasn't even talked to them since he left the house, so he didn't see the point in starting again to tell them. The last contact with his family was when his uncle called in early December to let him know that his mom was sent back to rehab.
Marius Capaldi is Adrian's father. Adrian and his father were never really close to one another due to Marius being an alcoholic throughout most of Adrian's life. When Adrian had first been born, life in the Capaldi household had been okay. There was some drinking in the home, but it all blew out of proportions once Marius was laid off from his job at a factory. Marius began drinking all the time due to being stuck at home and not able to do anything. Once this began, Adrian began to know not to talk to his father while he was drunk. Soon enough, Adrian almost never spoke to his father because he was literally always drunk. When Adrian was seventeen, his father went to rehab to get help. Once he got out, he wasn't sure how to go back to living normally. He got a job at a grocery store in hopes that it would make him feel normal again. Adrian and Marius still never really talk to each other mainly because Marius doesn't know how to say sorry about being worst father of the year for basically all of Adrian's life.
Danielle Capaldi is Adrian's mother who he has also never been close to. Danielle had been drinking a lot before Adrian had been born, but mostly stopped while she was pregnant with him. Once he was born, she went back to drinking and decided to not breastfeed him because of it. She also became unemployed after she gave birth to Adrian. Her boss didn't give her maternity leave and told her that if she wasn't back in two weeks, she would be fired. She wasn't back in that amount of time and lost her job. She never tried to get another one and spent most of her time out of the house. She hated being home and was often out with her friends. She soon began to constantly drink. Once Marius was laid off, she began drinking even more than before. She also started spending most of her time out with her friends and dragging Marius along with her. She started using different drugs too, but Marius always said he wasn't interested. When Adrian was seventeen, Danielle went to rehab. She was in there much longer than her husband. Once she was able to get out, she never tried to fix anything she had done throughout her life or even get a job. She started using again and was sent back to rehab in December of 2015.
Vanessa Capaldi is Adrian's older sister who is five years older than him. They grew up together and became very close to one another. They didn't have their parents to really take care of them, so they decided to take care of each other - although it was mostly Vanessa taking care of Adrian. Vanessa was really the only person Adrian ever considered to be his family. He tried to see his parents as his parents and family members, but he only ever saw them as the drunks who couldn't take care of their kids or themselves. When Vanessa was eighteen, she moved out into her own apartment with a friend. She was going to bring Adrian with her, but part of her wanted to have nothing to do with her family. She wanted to mostly start over with her life without them in it. Adrian somewhat began to hate his sister for leaving him on his own at the age of thirteen, but after a few years, he was able to somehow find it in himself to forgive her. She moved out of the area after a few years of leaving the family. She wanted to live in a brand new place far away. She and Adrian still sometimes talk on the phone to see how the other is doing.
Mason Reed is Adrian's uncle who took his family in and sent his parents to rehab. Adrian never really knew Mason when he was growing up because his parents completely ignored their families. Mason only decided to intervene because he heard word from some friends that his sister Danielle was getting worse and worse. He really only wanted to send Danielle to rehab and let Marius probably end up on the streets. Adrian was able to convince him to send his dad to rehab too though. Mason and Adrian rarely ever spoke to one another and mostly just had small talk if they saw each other. Mason didn't really know what to say to some teenager he had basically just met for the first time. Adrian also didn't know what to do around some random rich guy who had completely ignored his family's poverty and problems for so many years. After Adrian moved out, he and Mason never really talked much. They've talked on the phone a few times, but not really that much.
Juliette Capaldi-Wicks is Adrian's wife. They began dating in May of 2014, when Juliette sneaked onto a senior trip and convinced Adrian to go make out with her in the woods. They began to get really close to one another and Adrian started to actually trust. As soon as he started trusting her, she broke up with him. They got back together soon after though much to the pleasure of Adrian. She and Adrian continued dating and she basically started living with him as soon as he got his own apartment. She didn't officially start living with him until the Blackwood Home kicked her out. Adrian was happy to have Juliette officially move in with him because he just always wanted her near him. He was also just really cheesy and happy to wake up and see her next to him in the morning (even if she looks horrible sleeping). They married on July 5, 2015, in a sudden ceremony. They've been happily married and extra gross and cute since then. Juliette keeps joking about having kids and being pregnant, and Adrian always just ignores her. He doesn't really want kids for a few more years, although he just tells her he doesn't want them until he's fifty.
Rosemarie Sparrow is just some girl Adrian knows and all she ever does is flirt with his girlfriend. He's basically just like what-fuckin-ever about it. He also thinks Rose is a freak.
Diego Estevez and Adrian met when Diego and Rose tortured Adrian at his job at the cinema. He also had to kick Diego and Rose out for making out. That's it.
