Appearance |
---|
Christie often wears dresses with jackets, and has a uniform to wear on weekends in her aunt's instrument shop. But whenever she joins competitions (which is rare due to her low self-esteem and stage fright), she can often show off in dazzling gowns- much to her chagrin. When at home, she merely wears tanktops with sweatpants- but dresses casually whenever someone is visiting her home, mostly relatives (since she does not have many friends). |
Personality |
---|
Christie has a calm demeanor, and is very kind- offering her assistance in any way, even if it is not necessary. She is soft-spoken, and has stage fright- although singing can alleviate her fear, as music is her passion. She often keeps a smile on her face, only keeping a straight face or frown when a tragic incident happens. When she is upset or angered, she either cries, or takes a few breaths to calm herself down- as she does not like being seen as a crybaby. But when boredom strikes, she can be rather annoying, as she becomes loud and hyperactive- her family even joking she "bounces off the walls" when there is nothing that can entertain her. |
History |
---|
Christie, at the time of her birth, was in danger of blood loss- as an unknown disease had invaded her bloodstream and caused her to turn a porcelain color. After a risky operation (and the help of her uncle who readily donated a fresh supply of blood), she lived a relatively normal life. When her brother came, she was a bit uncomfortable with a new sibling around- but when Alexander learned how to walk and speak, the two became the best of friends- often found by their family in the garden taking a nap or eating grapes from the vineyard next to their house. School was another story, as Christie felt very shy around others- and no one bothered to make friends with her as everyone thought she was mute, or stuck-up. However, during a talent audition for the school, Christie had signed up- much to the surprise of everyone. When she had sang, her voice was shaking due to the many people watching her- but she was surprised when everyone started clapping and cheering, calling her a "superb vocalist" or simply an "amazing singer". Her family and teachers encouraged her to carry on with singing- and soon she was a very popular girl in her school, simply because of her amazing voice. Her family was proud of her, but Christie was not. She simply wanted to share her talents to become productive and useful, not to be popular. Her teachers and friends were confused on how she wasn't signing up on any competition- but understood the situation when she explained it to them. Slowly, she had faded into an ordinary girl in the class- nothing more than a simple student with proficiency in her subjects. One summer, however- her father had been transferred, and so the family had moved to Barfield in order to settle with Daniel's new workplace. There, they began anew- and on the first day of school, Christie was again a simple student- but soon rose to popularity once more, but not for her voice- but her excellency in various subjects. From there, she continued to learn more in order to maintain her position, and also taking vocal lessons to improve her voice- never forgetting to mention herself as a "simple student", as always. |
Family |
---|
Marianne and Daniel Galman - Christie's parents. No one knows who she is closer to- but it is generally said she is equally close to both. The three share a good relationship- but not forgetting to include Christie's younger brother, Alexander. Alexander Galman - Christie's younger brother, and best friend in the house. The two are practically inseparable- if they are kept away from each other, they will start to become agitated- which often causes trouble. The two are on good terms- Christie nicknaming her brother "Alex" or "Xander". |
