Elizabeth was a young woman when she met Dwight’s father, Scott in mid 1985. They met in an art and history museum, while Elizabeth was on a study abroad program in college. They exchanged numbers and dated for a few months. After those months were up, Elizabeth found herself pregnant and alone while Scott mysteriously disappeared out of town. Elizabeth was thrown out of her home for being pregnant and abandoned by the rest of her family. She left Japan for good and traveled to America. In America, she worked at a small fast food joint, it wasn’t making a lot of money but Elizabeth was thankful that she was getting money enough to pay her rent and put some food in her mouth. In December 1986, she gave birth to her son Dwight, who was her pride and joy. When Dwight was almost two, Elizabeth heard news about Scott and it wasn’t good. He died in a train accident after accidently falling onto the rails. Worse of all, Scott’s family had heard about Elizabeth and her pregnancy and wanted to have custody of Dwight.
Elizabeth did not want that to happen so she packed up her stuff and fled into a smaller town called Riversdale. Eventually, the constant phone calls stopped and Scott’s family left Elizabeth alone. As Dwight grew up, Elizabeth saw more maturity in him than any other boys his age but sadly Dwight was picked on for that. All through elementary school, he was called feminine and he didn’t respond at first but he learned to stand up for himself and set the record straight for his classmates. When Dwight was in seventh grade, he became curious about his own father after watching his classmates with their fathers. Elizabeth was bent between telling the truth or choosing to lie to him so she decided to tell him the truth. He was very sad to learn his father had died but unhappy to learn that his father left his mother and disliked him for that. With time, his scars did heal and he learned to accept the death of his father and death became another topic.
In high school, Dwight met a girl named Kotomi, whom he introduced to his mother as a friend. They did become friends despite the age difference and they became closer as his time in high school started to end. In his senior year of high school, his mother collapsed and was taken to the hospital. His mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He wanted his mother to live and promised her he would become a doctor so he could cure her but she insisted that he follow his dreams on becoming a forensic scientist. Day and night Dwight stood by her side and even missed a few days of school. After a year of radiation and chemotherapy, the cancer was gone from her system. Dwight was very happy about that. The year after that he enrolled in Lebeaux University on a merit scholarship and continued his studies. In his sophomore year, he decided to take a business course, in that class he met his good friend Lois, and they got along very well and even became study buddies. However, when he was in junior or senior year, Kotomi also enrolled in Lebeaux University and evidently jealous was very obvious.
Dwight assured Kotomi that he was into her and Lois was a friend. Besides, Lois was already interested in someone else. After Dwight graduated he decided to get his masters. After his masters, he married Kotomi in 2010. At first marriage was bliss with her but her jealousy got in the way which really got on his nerves. Kotomi was very selfish and didn’t want to share Dwight with his own mother despite her approving of their marriage. Things calmed down after Kotomi got pregnant with their daughter in 2012 and gave birth to their daughter, Blaze in early 2013. After that, all hell broke loose. Dwight and Kotomi argued more and her jealousy grew outrageously. In mid 2014, Dwight called quits on their marriage and divorced her. The court ruled in Kotomi’s favor and allowed her to keep Blaze. However Kotomi didn’t have a place to stay, so she moved in with her older brother, Jared. A few months later, the court revoked her custody of Blaze and put Blaze with her father after several containers of illegal drugs were found in Jared’s home. Kotomi was placed under house arrest for six months.
Currently Dwight has custody of his daughter and his mother has received very bad news. His mother has dementia and is currently unsure of how to break the news to Dwight who will be extremely crushed.
