Elle usually puts time into her appearance, always going for a neat and respectable look. She usually wears her black hair down with a few clips and accessories. Her clothing style is light and girly. Elle usually wears clear contacts, and her vibrant blue eyes are all natural. Sometimes when she doesn't feel like putting on the contacts or she doesn't have any on her, she just wears her glasses. Elle is five feet and six inches, and she most of the time wears flats, since her clumsiness will not allow her to wear heels without embarrassing epic fails.
Elle has always been known to staying on the safe side and never taking risks. She is very traditional with many things, and does not like a lot of change that will make her uncomfortable. Elle is a perfectionist and likes everything just so and how she wants it. She always wants her stuff to be perfect and the best of the best. She holds grudges, and usually even after she tells someone she forgives them, she still hasn't forgiven them. It takes her a while to finally forgive them completely. Elle is very nosy, and always trying to meddle in other people's affairs. She loves gossip, and being in the know of what is going on. Elle is very impatient, but she is always trying to work on that. Elle is also very clumsy, often tripping over her own feet or dropping things. This trait has made her to be a not-so-great dancer, but she doesn't mind. She often pokes fun at herself for that.
When faced with rude people or people with attitudes, Elle gives it right back to them. She does not tolerate garbage from anyone, unless the person is in a place that could get her in trouble if she gets on their bad side. Elle is very responsible and dependable when it comes to anything work-related, and she loves children. When it comes to her job, she allows her students to befriend her, but does not like showing favoritism or giving them special attention. She can sometimes be strict with them, but just because she wants the best for her students. Elle considers herself very classy and proper.
Elle was born on June 3, 1980, to Ingrid and Shawn Nash. She had an older sister, Tammy, who was four years old the time Elle was born. Tammy and the rest of the family loved her, the baby of the family. As Elle got older, she grew very close to her father and was a major daddy's girl. When Elle was two, her sister, Ashlee, was born. Elle was closer to Ashlee than Tammy was. Every time Elle and Tammy had an argument, their mother tried to resolve it, but it usually just ended up with Elle and Tammy laughing at their mom's antics, thus ending the fight. The only times Elle and Ashlee ever fought were when Elle was annoyed by Ashlee's bubbly attitude or childishness, but Ashlee never really realized that.
When Elle first started school, she made it a point to befriend nearly everyone so that she had no enemies. No one really bothered her. Elle usually had some of the highest grades in her classes, but instead of soaking it all in, she always strived to do better each time.
In seventh grade, Elle met a girl named Vanessa who had nearly all of the same personality traits as her. It was often joked that they were exact copies of each other, except with different looks and names. Elle and Vanessa soon became best friends and close confidants.
In ninth grade, in Elle's freshman year, Vanessa and Elle befriended a guy named Todd and their duo of friends became a trio. During that year, Vanessa wanted to be noticed in high school and started to slack off, act differently, and completely change her style, making Vanessa and Elle not be similar to each other anymore. People remarked that they were friends because opposites attracted, not knowing that they used to be a lot like each other.
Vanessa and Todd started dating in the beginning of senior year, and it left Elle feeling like a third wheel. While her two best friends were out on dates, Elle was at home studying. When Elle tried to tell them how she felt, they blew her off and told her that she was being selfish, so she never brought it up again.
In January of twelfth grade, Elle noticed Vanessa had started acting differently. After that, the rest of the senior year, Vanessa was getting tired easily, her eating style had changed, and she seemed to have put on a bit of weight. Elle didn't call attention to it because she did not want to embarrass Vanessa. By summer break, it was a bit obvious that Vanessa was pregnant with Todd's baby, even though she wore baggy clothing to hide the baby bump.
During a night of September, a few days before eighteen-year-old Elle started college, Todd and Vanessa stood at Elle's doorstep. Vanessa and Todd gave Elle the baby and a few baby supplies from the hospital. "Sorry," was the last thing Elle heard from Vanessa when she watched her friends leave and hop into Todd's car. Elle had no clue that that would be the last time she would see them.
After two weeks, it became apparent that Todd and Vanessa had left Elle alone with a baby. Elle's parents agreed to help out with the baby, and Elle officially adopted the baby and named her Mackenzie. The college she had been accepted to had been very understanding about the whole ordeal.
Elle graduated from college and became a teacher while still taking care of the baby. After Elle graduated, she bought her own house. During Mackenzie's years of growing up, Elle loved her as her own daughter, even though she could clearly see the baby's resemblance to Todd and Vanessa, not at all looking like her. Mackenzie calls Elle mom, and thinks of Elle as her own mother. Elle told Mackenzie everything about her actual birth when Mackenzie was twelve, and even though Mackenzie was shocked for a while, Mackenzie came to accept it and said that a true mother is the one that actually raised the baby.
Now, Elle works at Miduna Beach High School and teaches Literature. She has never gotten married, and is a bit lacking in the romance department, but she is content. Her dad had unfortunately passed away when Elle was thirty-two, but it doesn't upset her that much anymore. She is still in close contact with her sisters even though they do not live in the same city as her anymore.
Parents: Ingrid Nash is Elle's mom. She made bad parenting choices once in a while, and her discipline tactics were a bit unique. She is fifty years old. Elle's mom helped her out the most with Mackenzie, and without Ingrid, Elle would have most likely stressed to death.
Sean Nash was Elle's father. Elle was very close to him and was very much a daddy's girl. He was a jokester and never took anything seriously. He died at forty-eight years old.
Sisters:Ashlee is completely gullible and has a childish set of mind. She lives in her own little world and only sees good in everything. Ashlee and Elle have a pretty good relationship despite being so different. Ashlee is two years younger, and currently lives in California.
Tammy is brutally honest and very reliable. Elle is not as close to Tammy as she is to Ashlee, but she loves Tammy to pieces and loves her very much. Tammy is four years older, and currently lives in a city about three hours away.
Mackenzie Nash:Mackenzie is Elle's adoptive daughter. Mackenzie's parents left her with Elle without an explanation or anything, but Elle and Mackenzie consider the whole thing to be a blessing since they love each other so much. If they were given the choice to go back in time to that night and be able to convince Vanessa and Todd not to give Mackenzie up, they wouldn't do a thing.
Todd and Vanessa:These two lovebirds showed up on her doorstep, gave her a baby, and eloped. Elle hasn't spoken to them in sixteen years, and she kind of resents them now.
