Given to an orphanage at just a few months old, James had no knowledge or any memento of his biological parents, other than a baby blue blanket with his name stitched onto it. Although generally unhappy at first, pestering the sisters running the orphanage with endless questions about his parents, he grew to love and consider the children and sisters in the orphanage his family- and was very popular for his friendliness and generosity. There, he also met his childhood sweetheart- a shy redhead named Jordyn.
A week before his tenth birthday, a businessman had come to the orphanage looking for a child to adopt. All of them were unwilling to be adopted, even after being promised that they would go to a better home and would be showered with endless luxuries- and both fortunately and unfortunately, James was selected. After signing document after document, James sadly had to say goodbye to all of his friends, but promised he would return someday (if they were still there, that is).
After meeting his new younger sisters Chantelle and Estelle, he became concerned on how they were fearful and sensitive, as every time he'd try and tap their shoulders or bump into them, they would always fall to their knees and beg for him not to beat them "like he did"- which sparked his curiosity about the stability of his new family, which was later answered as James witnessed only the tenth of nearly a hundred beatings his new adoptive father Claudius would inflict upon his poor sisters.
Seeing them bruised and battered left James angry and frustrated, and shielded the Morrison sisters before their father would cause them anymore harm. This habit would turn into some sort of routine, and oftentimes James would lock Chantelle and Estelle in his closet just in case their father would come looking for them. This habit would continue on until the twins' fourteenth birthday, where Claudius had given into depression and resorted to alcohol to ease the pain. Seeing this as an opportunity to reconcile the three, he did his very best to, but to no avail- as the damage had already been done, and that Claudius was unwilling to do so.
After their father had died three weeks after his sixteenth birthday, he reluctantly assumed the position as CEO of Stellar Technologies around two days after the funeral. With no knowledge of how to properly manage the company, let alone its expenditures and staff, and that he realized the difficulty trying to juggle schoolwork and paperwork, he placed the company under the care of one the Morrison family's business partners until his senior year in college, where he finally decided he was prepared enough to take over the role. As of recent, he fares quite well as the third (and undeniably the youngest) manager of the company, but still makes time to fulfill his duties as both brother and occasional father figure and role model.
