| My portrayer is on hiatus until 6th of July and I may not be as active until then.
You can still start an RP with me if you want, but it would be a good idea to send my portrayer a message as a heads up.
|Birthday:||1st of May, 2000|
|Housemates:||Mom, Dad, Brother|
Lavender dresses very casually and her outfits mostly consist of some kind of band/tv merchandise t-shirt, leggings or jeans and ugg boots or sneakers. The majority of her clothes pretty big on her because she is small and thin and often buys things one or two sizes bigger than she needs them.
Lavender isn't too worried about her appearance and very rarely wears makeup or jewellery. She has had minor, sometimes relatively bad, acne since she was in seventh grade and has never been super worried about, though it is beginning to clear up anyway.
Lavender's manner could be described as almost hysterical. She gets very passionate about little things and shows this in a sort of nervous way, often expressing her sentiments through large, awkward arm movements or laughing fits. She is able to maintain these habits without frequently causing accidents because she is small anyway and doesn't take up much space.
To most who don't know her, Lavender is pretty quiet. She repels some people because they find her kind of fake, even though she really isn't at all and the people who say that are more fake. They probably get this impression of her because she simply has a different way of carrying herself to others her age. She is also extremely socially awkward.
Lavender's ability to have a conversation with someone doesn't actually vary that much depending on how close she is with someone, but she is able to talk to her friends more easily because she knows what they have in common and can find conversation topics. She is able to talk for a long time about something she cares about or finds amusing, but she has a very quiet speaking voice so a lot of the time people never actually listen to her.
Lavender has a very dark and sadistic sense of humour, which is largely influenced by the time she spends on the internet, where she is much more outgoing than she is in real life.
Lavender was born on the first of may in the year 2000. Her parents, Dot and Steven Smith were from the United Kingdom but had been living in America for about five years. They already had two much older children; Oscar and Heather Smith. Oscar was ten when Lavender was born (he is now 26) and Heather was twelve (she is now 28). Lavender's mom, Dot, works as a nurse and her father is a gardener.
Lavender grew up in a family that was pretty much already established, and this probably contributed to her quiet nature - she didn't very much feel the need to say anythig because it was all already being said. Her siblings both have quite strong yet traditional personalities and she picked up a lot of habits from them growing up, some good and some bad.
When she first started school, Lavender was quite shocked, but she quickly adapted to it. She was never extremely proficient academically, but she was always pretty good and found all subjects easy enough. Throughout elementary school, Lavender didn't really have any friends. She sometimes sat by herself or hung out with some other girls, but she was never really close with anyone else and often ended up working with the kids who no one else wanted to work with when it was time to do a project in partners.
It was when she started high school that Lavender finally began to find a friendship group and discover the benefits of comradeship. She found a group of people, some of whom she shared common interests with and others whom she did not share common interests with. She had never expected to be in any kind of 'popular' group so she was happy with friends regardless of their social status.
High School also brought more pressure on Lavender in her school work. Although her parents were very easy-going, bordering on unsupportive, towards her work at school, she was not used to the larger work loads and sometimes failed to complete tasks on time. This being said, she was almost always well behaved in class, well liked enough by her teachers and doing reasonably well in most work, so she was able to take her minor failures in good humour.
When she grows up, Lavender thinks that she either wants to be a writer (what she truly wants to do) or a nurse (because it is what her mom does and she hasn't been exposed to many careers). She writes a lot of fanfictions and posts them on the internet and even though she isn't very well known in the fanfiction world, she writes very well and her friends know that she could be very succesful as an author if she became one.
(I might add descriptions later)
