Sapphire Lopez is inactive and can no longer roleplay.
Portrayer's note: Literally I just slowly lost interest in Sapphire and her life. idk
Sapphire Luisa Lopez
November 11 2001
Student at Miduna Beach High
18 Lavender Road, Miduna Beach
Mum, Dad, 3 Brothers
Hair Colour: Black/ Dark Brown
Eye Colour: Dark Brown
Height: 5'3" (160 cm)
Sapphire's favourite feature is her mouth, because she loves talking. She rarely wears any make-up, just lip gloss or balm. She dresses in an awkward mix of street, biker and girly. This look somehow works on her although her mom tries to make her find new styles because she finds the biker style a bit too 'mature' for Sapphire. Sapphire has never died her hair, although she really wants to get ombre tips. On special occasions, she likes to wear very bright and loud clothes paired with chunky jewellery and platform heels. Yet again, her mom finds this style a bit too 'mature', she mostly just does what she likes with her appearance despite what her mom says.
Sapphire has always been very outgoing, without being annoying and is always making jokes. Though her loud nature is confronting to some people, it actually seems to make quiet people talk and come out of their shell a bit, even if it's just for the given time the spend with her. She loves parties and is usually the one organising them, or even doing a performance at one. Her weakness is that she hates school and would do anything, to get out of having to go. She even once went on a work trip with her mum to 'help' (although she was more of a hindrance) just so she could miss two days of school, it's not even because she has trouble with rules or is bad a maths, it's simply because she finds school a massive bore. Sapphire has a really big heart and is always helping others even though she's not usually appreciated, even people who she barely knows. She'll always be the first person to go up and say 'hi' to the new kid.
Sapphire was born in the year 2001 is Madrid, Spain but her parents and her three brothers (two are three years older than her and are twins and one is two years younger than her) moved to Lebeaux when she was nine because her parents were looking for a fresh start in life after her father was sacked from working in the local supermarket (which was a part of a very big chain and word gets round quick). Sapphire gets along well with her older brothers, but not so much with her younger brother because he finds her talkativeness scary.
As a child starting school, Sapphire hated it after the first moment she stepped into the classroom. The only thing that stopped her from going crazy, yelling and breaking out of the school was that she got to talk to (more at) people, because of this, she actually made heaps of friends with more shy people who couldn't reach out to anyone else. Her grades are a little above average in most areas, although just average in English because it's not her first language and she insists on using abbreviations that her new Miduna Beach friends taught her.
The move from Spain to Miduna Beach wasn't without it's ups and downs, although it generally went smoothly, especially for Sappphire who made friends straight away despite the fact that she didn't speak English very well, although they taught her soon enough. She has never had any difficulties making friends so it was actually a fun experience for her although she missed her friends from Spain a lot.
Her development from child to teenager has only just started and she just mirrors most of the behaviours of her peers because in her household they stay with Spanish traditions so she doesn't know much about how teenagers in Miduna Beach act other than from studying her friends.
Sapphire's ambition in the future is to be an actress or on reality t.v., because she loves sharing her opinions and talking and she likes the idea of the glamourous life of an actress. If neither of these work out, and she knows they probably won't, she's happy working at a cafe or something.
Maria Lopez: Maria is Sapphire's mom. They have a very healthy relationship usually, except for the times when Maria tries to choose the clothes that Sapphire wears because she chooses clothes that are really pink and lacey and girly, and Sapphire doesn't really like them. Maria cooks really good Spanish food for Sapphire and her brothers, as well as letting them occasionally get takeaway, which is Sapphire's favourite thing to eat.
Sebastian Lopez: Sebastian is Sapphire's younger brother. Mostly, he is just scared of her because she's really loud and energetic but he's more of a calm, quiet type. They don't really share many interests but they don't argue much because Sebastian isn't really into arguments.
Santiago and David Lopez: Santiago and David are Sapphire's older brothers. They are twins, but they're very different. Sapphire has the better relationship with Santiago, who is quieter but not scared of her and he listens to her when she talks. They also sometimes play sport together, though none of them are very good at sport. David is very loud and Sapphire's and his personalities clash a bit and they fight a lot.
Juan Jose Lopez: Juan Jose (who just gets called Juan, or 'papa' to Sapphire.) is Sapphire's father. She loves him, of course, but she has a theory that he prefers her brothers to her because they're boys. She likes Juan because he takes her to theme parks sometimes which are one of her favourite places.
Not yet. I'll add after I've roleplayed with her.
Sapphire loves dance and pop music, but loathes classical music.
She always bites the head of ginger-bread men first.
She once had to go to hospital to have an ingrown toenail removed.
Sapphire is double jointed in most places.
She basically has a new crush on someone each week.
Sapphire likes to put positive notes in library books (even though she never actually reads them) because she likes to think they make someone's day.
This is my first character who's not a nerd or really shy. I didn't really know what to do with her, hope you like it.
Salvador's father took a very particular shine to his newborn son and cared for him a lot. He was given all the attention he needed and he didn't need to speak very loud so that people would hear him. Due to this, he is now generally quite a gentle person but he can get very loud and irritated when things don't go exactly his way; because that is what he is used to at home.
