Serena is sassy and sarcastic when you first get to meet her. When you first see her, you usually think she's one of those popular girls who are actually nice, however it is wrong. She's actually really rude and judges too quickly. She hates almost everyone and comes off as snobby and spoiled. She acts like a princess and thinks she's the center of the universe, and wants attention no matter how good or bad it is. She's stubborn and controlling, always wanting things to go her way. She's quite devious, and will not stop until she gets what she wants. She has this unbelievably magical charm of getting people to like her even despite her reputation. She's incredibly flirtatious and is always seen with a boy, whether they are dating or not. She is easily annoyed, and no matter how close you are to her, or how loyal she is to you, she always does everything to make you look bad and still manages to not get caught. She is very opinionated and always speaks her mind. She always thinks she's right and denies making mistakes. Nevertheless, she can still be pretty nice even if she doesn't realize. She's just a little misunderstood but people can't seem to see that because she doesn't want to come of as weak.
Serena was born to Sally Abel, a single mother on December 4, 1998. Despite being an alcoholic, her mother still was still very caring towards her and made sure that she was given the right amount of her needs. She didn't want Serena to see she's been drinking, so she placed her alcohol in a mini fridge and hid it in the storage room in their apartment. She always told Serena that she was at work, when in reality she would sneak into the storage room and drink for hours. She didn't have to worry about money since her sister was pretty wealthy. This lie went on until Serena was seven. Her babysitter eventually found out, and quit. This forced Sally to stop drinking and start working. Her job payed a fair amount, but still wasn't enough to pay rent. Their land lord stated they had three months to pay or they would be kicked out. In those three months, Sally started dating a man, and they were madly in love, they got engaged after a month. This is when Sally finds out that the man he was going to marry, Jonathan was wealthy. They moved in together before the wedding so they did not have to worry about the rent.
After the couple got married, Serena finally met her step-sister, Gabby. She was four years younger than her. They instantly hated each other after they both said offensive things to each other. Her step-sister insulted her for being poor. Apparently, they were not excited when they found out they had to share a room. They fought for hours and hours until Sally and Jonathan eventually separated them and gave them their own rooms. They were finally happy and didn't have to see each other's faces 24/7.
Serena started middle school in 2011 and she wasn't very happy with her popularity. She then decided to join the cheer squad for a popularity boost. There, she met Lola, who eventually became her best friend, who, however still gets on her nerves. She realized cheer leading was something she enjoyed, and still stayed whether or not it was going to make her popular. It eventually did. She was overwhelmed by her new found popularity. Her popularity molded her into a somewhat mean person, one of the many reasons she's so rude. She started getting interested in boys during high school, and since then, she's never seen without a guy, dating or not. She even takes interest in boys who are already taken, and with her charm, she convinces them to cheat on their respective girlfriend. She's been living the easy life ever since.
Sally Abel-Jones- Serena appreciates her mother very much for taking good care of her when she was still young and fragile. She really looked up to her and loves her with all her heart. They keep a close and steady relationship with each other and she's the only person Serena can really open up to. Despite this, there is still a little piece of Serena who is disappointed in her mother for lying to her when she was still young.
Jonathan Jones- Jonathan and Serena don't really have an actual 'relationship'. They don't really talk a lot due to Serena's behavior and because he's always busy and working. Nevertheless he always spoils her with anything she asks for since he doesn't want to create any bad blood between them.
Gabby Jones- Serena hates Gabby with every fiber of her being. In fact, Gabby hates her, too. Gabby can be a spoiled, little brat like Serena but unlike her, she hides it real good to make Serena look bad. They can't stand each other and can't even breathe the same air together. Serena does her best to stay away from Gabby, so that's why she's always out and about with her friends.
Lola Sanchez- Lola is Serena's best and closest friend. They're both on the cheer squad, the initial reason they met in the first place. They hang out a lot and are barely seen without each other. However, when they are, it's usually because of something Lola said or did, or maybe she just got on Serena's last nerve. When this happens, she usually decides to go behind her back and spread horrible rumors about Lola she may, or may not regret in the future.
Serena is left-handed.
She owns a puppy, which she named "Cali", because she had a slight obsession with California at the time her dog was adopted.
