Skye's natural eye colour is dark brown, although she sometimes will wear green contacts. She likes to have a fringe with her hair because it looks good on her and she likes her forehead being covered. Skye could be described as somewhat insecure about her appearance. She tries to hide this so she doesn't seem vain, but she has changed the shade of brown that her hair is too many times to count. She is also very careful about how she dresses. Skye usually prefers to wear shades rather than colours, although you can't pinpoint a style at all if you look at her wardrobe. She never dresses super girly, but she often wears skirts. She also sometimes dresses quite in quite sexy or revealing clothes, which surprise some people. For some reason she often wants to wear revealing clothes despite the fact that she feels quite uncomfortable in them.
Skye is very quiet and reserved. She generally prefers to keep herself to herself until she observes more about a person so she can decide if she wants to be friends with them or not. Once she is with people she is comfortable with, she can be much more layed-back, relaxed and chatty. Having said this, she is still not the loudest person or anything, although she has quite a strong sense of humour and generally has a lot to say.
A lot of people say that she should grow up, because she is in her twenties and still doesn't even engage in the smallest of conversations with strangers, but she really does have trouble doing so. She also feels very self conscious almost all the time, and she is so compulsive to the point where her actions seems impulsive, because she has overthought them too much. For those moments when she does something without thinking, or speaks to someone outside of her comfort zone, she usually spends the rest of her day distracted by thinking heavily about and regretting those actions.
Despite the fact that Skye doesn't really talk to people much, she is typically a kind person. Most people can tell this by her actions and sometimes because of her self-consciousness, she will try to be extra careful by doing things like moving out of the way of someone before she even was in the way. She always cares for others and she hates showing off herself, although there is a part of her that wants too, she strongly feels it is wrong and tries to shut away those desires. She really dislikes people who show off, but if someone is genuinly good at something and not being attention seeking about it, she will at least try to pretend to be happy for them.
Skye is quite easily offended and quite sensitive; even if someone critisizes or rudely imitates her friends, she feels really hurt. There is a part of her that always wants to cry to make them feel guilty but she doesn't want to be percieved as attention seeking or over-emotional, or mean. She usually just tries to hide emotions to herself, because she thinks that if she is to be kind to others and their emotions, her own should not matter.
Skye is quite articulate and studious, but she doesn't try to make herself seem super smart to intimidate people.
Skye was born in Busan, South Korea in the year 1992. At the time she was born, she had one older sister, who was seven years older than her, her name was Ah-kyung. Skye attended school in South Korea, she struggled with all her subjects for the first few years but later found her ground and was fine.
When Skye was 16, her sister was in a car accident. She was 23 and had just recently got her driver's licence. Skye's parents soon got caught up in Ah-kyung's funeral planning, and they stopped paying attention to Skye for a long time. Skye began to withdraw at school and her peers started to pick on her. She was soon failing in all her subjects. She decided to join the theatre club at her school. While this did help her become more motivated in her school work, it made her subject to even more bullying. She became quite depressed and the only part of her day that she enjoyed was theatre club.
Ah-kyung's funeral gave Skye's parents a kind of closure and they began to pay more attention to Skye again. They soon realised what was going on at school and how depressed Skye was, so they pulled her out. It was amazing luck that Skye's father had just got a job in Lebeaux, America. The family moved to the U.S. and Skye's parents also got her into counselling sessions as soon as they could.
Only Skye's closest friends know about her sister, and most people are surprised when hey find out about what happened because they often assume that she's one of those happy carefree people who hasn't really been through anything before. Skye is now a bit more withdrawn than she used to be, but she was always quite shy and reserved.
After getting back on track with her schooling and graduating from High School, Skye remembered her passion for theatre and she decided to go to Barfield Institute of Science and Technology. She majored in Korean (she learnt complex Korean grammar she didn't know already out of school) and Technology. She now works as a stage hand at a theatre company in Lebeaux. She really loves her job and wouldn't swap it for the world. For extra money, she does night shifts at a nightclub in Barfield.
When she went to Lebeaux Preparatory School, Skye made a few friends in Kelly Romsey, Thom Stan and Zoe Day. She was able to be herself around them, and they always respected her.
She moved in with them and they all share a house and take it in turns to pay rent. They did this not long after she started College. She still lives with them purely out of choice because she enjoys being close to people she can trust. She also made one friend at BIST, called Nico, They became really close and he moved in too.
Skye is more happy with her life right now than she has ever been before with anything. She completed her studies well, got a good job that she loves and made friends. If she has any wishes for the future, they are to travel back to Korea to see the place she grew up in without the people that made it so horrible. She wants to go to the actual site where her sister died because she thinks it may give her that closure which she never completely had. She isn't really in contact with her parents anymore, apart from stuff like christmas.
