A/N: This isn't finished but we always forget to reply to it so @Blub let's do this. Set on New Year's Eve.
So after Adrian had his little meltdown, Juliette followed him off to his bedroom and locked the door behind them as they walked in. "Babe, what just happened?"
Adrian went over to his old bed and sat down on it. "I don't know," he mumbled, putting his head in his hands. "I don't know. Marius was just talking and..." He sighed. "I just don't know."
Juliette sat down next to him, wrapping an arm around him and leaning her head against his chest. "What did he do to you?"
"He didn't really do anything per say," Adrian answered. "He just wants in my life, I guess."
"And you don't want him there?" she asked.
"No, not really," Adrian said. "Is that wrong? I don't even know him, really." Juliette shook her head softly and reached up to hold his hand, rubbing her thumb across his knuckles. "I don't know what he did, but I get it. For ages I didn't even want to talk to my mum. I still don't know if I want her back in my life." She looked up at him. "You don't /have/ to do anything for him."
"He didn't do anything, that's the thing. Now he suddenly wants to do something and I don't know what to do."
Juliette frowned. "I'm sorry, babe."
Adrian moved his face from his hands. "No, don't be. I don't know why I'm so... whatever about this," he said, not sure how to describe how he felt.
"Stressed?"
"Yeah, that. That sounds right."
"It's okay," she said, her voice calm and collected. "Do you want to talk about it? I'm here for you."
"I don't want to talk about it. I'd rather forget about it and pretend it never happened."
"Adrian, something's seriously upsetting you. You can't just avoid it forever."
"I don't know. I just don't know what to do or think right now."
"You don't have to do anything," she reassured. "We can just sit here." "Good," he said, leaning his head over to rest on hers. "I just don't want to do anything."
Juliette nodded slightly. "I love you."
"I love you too," he whispered back, choking on his words a bit.
"I'm always gonna be here for you."
"Please do. Please don't go anywhere."
Juliette leaned up, kissing him on the cheek. "I promise I won't."
"Good," he whispered. Adrian sat there in silence for a few moments before realizing that there was water in his eyes. He moved his hand up to his eyes. "Fuck," he mumbled. "I really don't know what's wrong with me."
Juliette chuckled a little. "You're crying. I thought you'd know what that was seeing as it's a reoccurring thing for me." She ran a thumb across his cheek, wiping away the tears gently. "It's alright."
"Yeah, it's something you always do, but I don't. It's a rare event for me."
"Yeah, I noticed."
