Todd is slightly shorter than the average height. However, he has a very muscular build due to him constantly getting exercise. He is very particular about his appearance, having to constantly fix his hair or something every time he sees a mirror.
Todd dresses casually and comfortably. His idea of an everyday outfit would be a V-neck T-shirt, skinny jeans, and a pair of sneakers. He will sometimes wear flannels in addition to his outfit. Todd usually leans more towards darker colors, because he thinks that bright colors just look to flashy on him. Other than that, he's not one to dress up formally on a daily basis, but he's also not one to totally dismiss his appearance.
Todd is generally social person. He's willing to meet anybody new, as long as he's happy. He can easily carry on a long conversation, and even get to know a lot about the person. Todd's quite confident in himself, even when the odds are stacked up against his favor. He is always determined to be the best, and gets frustrated when he isn't. He can sometimes be narcissistic and selfish, putting himself before others. He thinks of himself as perfect, even though he truly knows that he's not. Although he can be outgoing, Todd is actually quite secretive, when it comes to his personal life. He doesn't like to talk about himself too much, and when people ask him, he replies with a vague answer and is quick to change the topic. This is because he has a constant worry of people using things against him, giving them the upper hand against him.
Todd Wilson was born to Amanda Forrest and Michael Wilson. They were a newlywed couple that still needed to figure out their futures. This played a part in Todd growing up, as his parents were quite easygoing, letting him have a stress free childhood for the most part. His parents' recklessness escalated into other marital issues. When Todd was four and about to turn five, his dad revealed that he'd been seeing another woman, who was, at the time, pregnant with his child. This was news to him and his mother, who stayed calm. She understood this situation, and agreed that they needed to split and remain friends. On the other hand, Todd was furious. Even at such a young age, he knew this meant the end of his parents' relationship. He isolated himself from them until his mom confronted him and explained to him that there were already other issues with their premature marriage, including the fact that she, also, had been seeing someone else. He gradually understood this concept, which soon plays a role in his love life as a teenager.
At school, Todd wasn't the smartest. He was never the star student, nor did he ever get complimented on his academic skills. Todd had trouble with technical concepts, like math. He got frustrated a lot because of this and took his frustrations out on sports, which in contrast, he excelled at. Todd was the most athletic in his classes in elementary school. He found a passion for football, which his parents encouraged even more by signing him up for a team. He focused more and more on football, lessening his frustrations over academics.
After his parents split, Todd lived with his dad, visiting his mother in Lebeaux sometimes on weekends and holidays. When he first met his dad's girlfriend, Allison, Todd didn't like her, as he thought she was trying to replace his mom. Soon, Allison warmed up to Todd. She shared his love for sports, with basketball being her favorite. They grew closer, like mother and son. When she gave birth to Todd's half-sister, Olivia, Todd was more than happy. She and Todd's father soon married, completing their family.
In high school, Todd played football and was the quarterback for junior varsity. With motivation from his stepmom, he played basketball. Although he doesn't enjoy it as much as football and isn't as good at it, he still played because he did not want to disappoint her or his dad. Despite this, everyone went along with the expectation and thought he was great at it when in reality, he's only as good as the next guy. He was still fine with this assumption, even though it puts pressure on him to look good when there are many on the team who are as good as (or even better than) him.
His life was all straightened out in the beginning of high school. He had everything he wanted, he was popular, and he managed to have decent grades. Todd grew bored of this, and saw that all his friends had girlfriends and boyfriends, and he was just left as the third wheel wherever he went. He would awkwardly sit by while his friends went on and on about their boyfriends and girlfriends. They'd lightheartedly teased him about being forever alone. He jokingly agreed that love wasn't for him. All of these doubts continued on until he met a girl named Lola. He really liked her; he thought she was beautiful, charismatic, and bold. He loved all of her excitement and her spirit. In September 2014, he asked her out. The two started dating and became a power couple. They were really close, until Todd lost interest in their relationship. He didn't feel like their relationship was going anywhere, and consulted his friends about it. They told him to stay with her to avoid any fuss. He reluctantly did, and recently started to secretly go out with her best friend, Serena. They still keep their relationship a secret, laying low when Lola's around.
Todd is quite close to his family. He'd always been the apple of his mother's eyes, as he was her first and only child. Todd frequently visits her on weekends and on holidays, seeing that she lives in Barfield. Him not living with her doesn't really taint their close relationship at all, contrary to popular belief.
As a child, Todd admired his dad for everything he did. Even if it was just coming home from work or making pancakes, Todd always aspired to be like him. This came to an end when his parents divorced after Todd's mom found out about his infidelity. Their close relationship immediately severed. It slowly found itself mending through the years, as they grew closer and closer again. This was partially (but mostly) due to Todd adjusting to living with his dad and stepmom. His stepmom was the first to try and relate to Todd. He slowly reciprocated, and now, he treats her like family. He was even excited when she gave birth to his younger half-sister, Olivia. Now that she's older, Todd has grown extremely protective over her. She finds this annoying, but they both love each other.
Todd and Lola have been dating since the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year. They've been known to be one of MBHS's power couples ever since they started dating. In the beginning, Todd was fully embracing their relationship but as time went on, he found himself losing interest and moving his attention to others.
Todd had met Serena through Lola. They weren't originally close, having talked from time to time when they were near. Soon, Todd had began to develop feelings for her. They began to date behind Lola's back to spare her feelings and their reputations knowing that she would freak if she found out.
