|Zachary Ronald Nelson|
|Birthday:||June 6, 1993|
|Education:||Senior at Barfield Community College|
|Occupation:||Manager at Barfield Bookstore|
|Address:||16 Flynn Street, Barfield|
Zach is sorta tall, standing at 5'9". He's extremely fit and muscular as Tristan used to force him to work out in high school, which became a habit he never grew out of. He has bright blue eyes that pop out against his slightly tan complexion. He tends to only wear jeans and tight-fitting t-shirts throughout the year. In the winter, he usually wears Tristan's old varsity jacket to keep warm over his typical outfit.
Zach is a very primp and pristine sorta guy. He practically exudes friendliness and happiness. He's a huge nerd who loves reading books and studying but he defies the stereotypes that comes with it. He's really emotional and can and will cry at almost anything. He can be kinda feminine at times, but that only comes out around Tristan. He's a really nice guy if you couldn't tell.
Zach Nelson was born into a family with money. His mother was a socialite who ran a variety of charities and his father was a businessman who was quickly climbing up the corporate ladder. He had pretty much all that he could ask for at his fingertips all throughout his life.
As he grew older, his parents wasted no time in training him to be the heir to the Nelson family fortune. He complied with no complaints as he didn't think negatively about what he was getting into. Around this time, he realized that he really liked his schoolwork and he worked incredibly hard to be the best in school.
In 8th grade, his school offered advanced placement classes that would give him high school credit while still in junior high. He took every single one of them, going against the advice of his counselor who told him that that may be a strain on him and that he should take a lighter load of courses. His counselor ended up being right; that was too much work. But Zach wasn't giving up. He snuck around and ended up taking Adderall to keep himself alive and alert to be able to study and do his work in school. He quickly grew dependent on them without realizing it.
All his hard work paid off, as he ended up eligible to skip his freshman year entirely and advance straight to 10th grade in his first year of high school. However, he still was addicted to the pills he used to get this honor. The side effects of these pills quickly caught up with him, and he started showing signs of drug use around his parents, who eventually caught onto what he was doing. They ended up putting him in rehab over the summer before he went back to school.
By the time that dark summer ended, Zach was clean and ready to start high school. He went in and on his first day, he made an enemy out of the school's resident bad boy, Tristan Locke. Since he wasn't meek or shy, he didn't back down and he fought Tristan back at every given opportunity. That is, until he was assigned to tutor him so that he could pass midterms. He went to Tristan's house and saw the kind of life he lived - which wasn't a good one. He stumbled upon his progress report and noticed that he was failing all his classes. He then saw Tristan's struggles as a project - something that he could work on. That motivated him to practically let Tristan come to his house at all times and just do whatever he wanted, and that made him become Tristan's fulltime tutor in all subjects. By the time they were juniors, Tristan was a completely changed young man. Mission accomplished.
In his senior year of high school, Zach was completely swamped with his upcoming tests, his fight for valedictorian, and getting accepted into a good university. He tried to manage, but he couldn't. After four years of being clean, he relapsed and began taking Adderall again to keep up with now accelerated pace of school. The pills gave him the boost he needed. He scored a 35 on his ACT tests and a 2200 on his SAT tests. He was the valedictorian of his graduating class, and he got a full scholarship to attend Lebeaux University, one of the most prestigious schools in the nation. He went and admitted himself back into rehab for a short stint to get himself off the Adderall again. He left the second time around and never looked back.
Him and Tristan decided to move here together and go to different schools. But, Tristan was suffering from the blow of a horrible breakup and he was regressing all the progress he had made so far. So, to be a good friend, Zach turned down the scholarship to LU and ended up going to the community college Tristan planned on attending to keep tabs on him. This action greatly disappointed his parents, but Zach simply shrugged them off and moved out with his friend.
Zach moved out here and got a job at Barfield Bookstore, which he now manages. He is still attending BCC and is about to graduate from there, and he's incredibly happy with the way things are going.
Zach was an only child to a socialite mother and a CEO father. He doesn't talk to them too often, but he does love them and vice versa.
Besides Tristan, most of Zach's friends and acquaintances come from the bookstore where he works.
|Zach is my little nerdy boy. I love his personality and his spirit. I basically based his history off of my baby Spencer Hastings from PLL, who also was a studious child who took to pills to stay on top of the game. I love his little thing with Cassidy and I love writing them a lot. I like Zach too much to get rid of him, although once upon a time I didn't have anything planned for him and he almost got murdered. I'm glad that didn't happen because I've grown to love this man a lot.|
